Chocolate Banana Split Cupcakes

Delicious & Super moist! These are banana cupcakes not muffins, but actual cupcakes… Chocolate marbled banana cupcakes with vanilla buttercream, sprinkles and dark chocolate drizzle.

3 mashed bananas

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

3 Tbsp buttermilk

2 cups all- purpose flour

3/4 cups vegetable oil

2 Tsp baking soda

1 Tsp almond extract (optional)

1 Tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

1/4 Tsp fresh nutmeg (optional)

1 cup pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line 12 cupcake cups.

Beat bananas and sugar until smooth; then add one egg at a time until incorporated. Beat in oil until completely blended, 2 minutes.

Sift dry ingredients together in a separate bowl, then stir in mixing well with buttermilk.

Lastly, fold in pecans if using.

Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of cupcake comes out clean.

Let cool, frost, sprinkle, top with cherry and enjoy!
